Another week has flown by full of appointments, illness and a Christmas meal with the girls. It was a lovely night and brilliant to all catch up together and see how everyone is doing and what they are getting up to now. We all can’t get over how adult and grown up we are now, I know we are all only 21/22 but it really does seem like only yesterday when we were at school and our only worries were GCSE’s. Time seems to be flying by at the moment that is for sure and it’s only two weeks until 2013 and another new year to see what that brings.
I’ve bought some nice new pieces to update my wardrobe a little bit over the past couple of weeks. The other week I went to Leeds for a friend’s birthday and we spent the afternoon shopping and this week I was in Manchester doing some shopping before seeing The Black Keys. As much as I love Sheffield, it’s nice to get out to other cities and see what they have to offer shops wise and the normal high street staples have much bigger stores in Leeds and Manchester than in Sheffield which is always a bonus for more choice.
Black Dress from New Look, £24.99.
Do you ever just see a dress and just instantly fall in love with it because it is so perfect and then when you put it on it even looks really on you, well that is this dress for me. There was only one of these dresses left in my size and I was not leaving the shop without it.
Maroon Studded Flats from New Look, £14.99.
These were meant to be £19.99 but New Look had a £5 off on all shoes day going on that day. New Look are amazingly good for shoes, for someone who has struggled in the past to get really nice shoes to fit me I know that every time I visit New Look if I find a pair of shoes I like they will fit me perfectly.
Maroon, Navy and Black Socks from Topshop, 3 for £8.
How cute are these socks, they remind me of my childhood as I used to wear socks kind of like this for school, although those ones were white with either white lace or white and blue check material around the top to match my white and blue checked school dress. I was a very co-ordinated child.
Bag from Primark, £6.
If there is one place I always go to for a going out bag it’s Primark. They’re cheap so it’s not too bad if they get wrecked or broken and this one fits in so much for how small it is, total bargain.
Finally for this week, I made another playlist on my 8tracks account. It’s been a while since my last one mainly because I’ve been too busy. This one is called ‘Winter Warmers’ mainly just because they are songs that I like to listen to in the cold winter months. Anyway, take a listen if you want to, I hope you enjoy it.
