christmas meals galore.

It’s only 3 days until Christmas now so the past couple of weeks have been very busy for me, a lot busier than expected but things like Christmas meals have been a main part of my diary lately. I’ve been to 3 already this year [who needs actual Christmas day now?], 2 official ones and 1 I’m counting as a Christmas meal. The most recent one was on Wednesday with my mum, we went to the cinema to see The Hobbit first which is an amazing film by the way and then we went to Frankie and Benny’s for the Christmas meal we had pre booked. It was £18.95 for 3 courses and then extra for drinks which isn’t too badly priced for the good food that you get. Here’s what I had:

Mushroom Crostini

Goat’s Cheese and Red Onion Wellington

Sticky Toffee Pudding

Needless to say I was full of food when I left and it was money well spent, definitely somewhere I would recommend for a Christmas meal with family, friends or work collegues. You also get a Christmas cracker, party popper and book of vouchers each as well. They’ve got their usual special Christmas cocktails, I had Southern Sleigh Ride mainly because it had Southern Comfort in it and it’s one of my favourite spirits, they are at their usual Frankie and Benny’s prices but you can order pitchers for £10.95 which I guess is good if there is a lot of you there.

Here is what I wore to the meal, nothing too over the top and posh as I went to the cinema beforehand but it’s always good to make an effort and I got to wear my new shirt/dress that my mum bought me for graduation.

Shirt Dress from H! by Henry Holland for Debenhams, Cardigan from Topshop.

Last week I went for a Christmas meal with my friends from school and sixth form, it was a brilliant night and a lovely catch up. We just went to one of the pubs in town for a meal and chat and a few drinks. This is what I wore to that:

Shirt from Dorothy Perkins, Skirt from Matalan.

If I don’t manage to blog again before Christmas then have a lovely day, eat and drink plenty and I hope you get everything you are wanting.
