There will be no tracks of the week next week as I’m away. After a bit of much needed sunshine and warmth in the UK this week it’s put me and I imagine everyone else in a much better mood than they was before. Pulling out albums and tracks that remind us of summer which doesn’t seem as impossible a prospect when we actually see some sun. These tracks are all perfect for the sunny weather and no doubt most if not all of them will be part of my summer soundtrack.
Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding – I Need Your Love
I first heard this song last week and I instantly loved it, it’s perfect for summer. A really good dance tune that will have you singing along to in clubs and at beach parties around the world this year.
Friendly Fires – Live Those Days Tonight
A bit of sun comes out and I instantly reach for ‘Pala’, the album that is by far the most perfect soundtrack to any summer or sunny day. This track is perfect to get you dancing and is a brilliant accompaniment to the sunshine and will put a smile on your face.
McFly – Love Is Easy
When I went shopping earlier this week I walked into a shop and this song was playing. I love McFly and I particularly love this song and after not hearing it for a while it was brilliant to hear it again. It’s ridiculously catchy and you will be singing along to it in your head for weeks, when McFly’s new album is finally released if it’s all similar to this song then I will be one happy McFly fan.
Daft Punk – Get Lucky
Everyone is talking about this song so I don’t think that there is much I can really add. It is a brilliant song, a really good comeback and surely this summer will be partially belong to Daft Punk and their new album.
Finally, this week here is my playlist for April as usual it’s song I’ve been listening to this month whether they are brand new or years old. Let me know what you think of this month’s playlist.
