Galaxy Shirt from Monki / Patterned Skirt from Topshop / Bag – Olivia and Joy / Brogues from Dorothy Perkins
Look how long my hair has gotten! I’m quite shocked, I’ve not had hair this long in years, back when I was 13 and I had hair right down my back I decided to have it all loped off and since then I stuck to short hair so this long hair is weird for me. However, I’m actually finding it easier to manage weirdly, mainly because when it gets on my nerves I just shove it in a bun and not having to straighten my hair anymore like I did when it was short has made my hair so much better and less strawlike than it used to be.
Anyway, less hair chat and more outfit talk. The shirt I got while I was in London, it’s a nice little basic shirt and the subtle galaxy style star print adds a bit of interest to what would otherwise be considered a dressing down basic top. Whenever I wear black anywhere in my outfit I feel like I need to overcompensate with an extremely bright colour or a lot of pattern and hence this skirt was added. I love the bodycon style but it’s not too tight that is gets uncomfortable and the striped rainbow style of colours reminds me of my teenage days and my obsession with rainbow striped things. One of my favourite bags and my comfy, well worn brogues finish off this outfit perfectly for me as something casual but still styled and smart enough to be willingly seen out of the house in it.
