ootd: raspberry & mustard

Dress – Topshop [old] / Cardigan – Topshop [old] / Bag – Matalan / Boots – Office / Watch – Casio

2 Saturday’s into the new year and 2 outfit posts up, so far so good from me. I’m determined to keep this side of my blog up and it is helping me a lot with my photography. I know these pictures aren’t perfect but I’m getting there. Messing about with settings and lighting and stuff which is all good. Who knows by summer I might even have some decent pictures.

Onto the outfit, I wore this when I popped into town on Monday for a few bits and pieces. Things out of my control meant I was back in town on Wednesday to actually get all the stuff I’d not managed to get before but oh well. The dress and cardigan I’ve both had for a long time and have become a bit of a classic/go to combination for me for when I want to look alright but can’t really be bothered to plan an outfit properly. I particularly love the colours of this dress and the smock like fit with a peter pan collar is so cute and so my fashion sense these days that I completely adore it and could probably never part with it.

Teaming it with classic black tights, a nice change from my usual array of colour in the tights department and my mustard boots which I love but don’t actually wear as much as I should. I think it’s the 3 inch heel on them, being tall already it gives me so much extra height that I don’t really need and hence making me the obvious one in the crowd. But still I love them as I do my new raspberry coloured handbag. The pops of colour from the shoes and bag add a bit of interest I think to an otherwise dark and slightly toned down ensemble from me.

Hopefully I should be back with my 3rd outfit post in 3 weeks [high five for me if it happens] next Saturday and hopefully my photography will have improved even more.
