Crop Top – New Look / Shorts – AX Paris / Shoes – F&F at Tesco / Watch – Casio / Necklace – Boutique in Rome
Yay for another Saturday and another outfit post being up on here. I’m really enjoying having a schedule to blog too, obviously I’m not too strict on myself that if I don’t blog one week on a certain feature I’m not going to hate myself but having some form of schedule and structure has definitely helped me with blogging so far this year. I’ve got so many things to blog about from music to fashion and it really is insane how many scheduled and drafted posts I have going on right now. Here’s to hopefully a very good year for this blog.
Onto the outfit I wore this for my friend’s birthday night out a couple of weekends ago. As I was going to Corp [a rock club in Sheffield, if you live in or near Sheffield and haven’t been you need to rectify this] it definitely wasn’t the perfect opportunity to wear my brand new velvet and lacey pieces, not unless I wanted them ruined/covered in alcohol but this outfit was perfect. The crop top is a new purchase from the New Look sale for a mere £5 and as soon as I saw it I knew it was something I would wear a lot. It is cropped in the body but not to the point of having your stomach on show which is my absolute nightmare, it’s just above hip height so high waisted shorts, skirts or trousers will cover any skin that would be on show, major plus! I really like the long sleeves on it and it looks a little bit 80’s. Teamed with my fake leather shorts from AX Paris I think it was a lovely going out outfit that would withstand a night in Corp and the whole outfit was in itself a little bit rock orientated, any excuse to channel Gwen Stefani in her No Doubt days.
Teaming it with burgundy tights for a bit of colour and simple black flats with little skulls on the front, pulled it together but keeping it simple. I also wore my leather biker jacket and brown studded bag from Primark but didn’t manage to photograph them as I was running a bit late for the tram to town. I really do think this is a perfect going out outfit for Corp or anywhere really and I did feel totally comfortable all night something I’m all about on a night out. Three cheers for comfort!
