Striped Dress – H&M / Aztec Print Blazer – New Look / Pewter Chunky Sandals – Primark / Clutch Bag – H&M / Chain Necklace – H&M / Stud Bracelet – Topshop / Amber Ring – Amazon
I love this outfit, as soon as I bought the blazer earlier this year I knew straight away that the first time I wore it I would pair it with this dress. The maroon colour with the black aztec pattern clashes but also works really well with the horizontal bold black and white stripes of the dress. The dress is quite short and nips in at the waist giving my a nice figure while the marginally oversize blazer adds a boxiness to the shape of my silhouette which I’m a huge fan of. Paired together I think they look really good and this is definitely one outfit I am taking to Paris with me this week, probably for evening and hopefully it will be warm enough to wear this without tights like I have here.
If it is warm enough for bare legs then these new chunky sandals from Primark [I know, they look way more expensive than Primark] will be paired with the dress and blazer. I absolutely adore these sandals and I will be wearing them pretty much all throughout the summer months. I found some silver sandals similar to this online which I liked but as soon as I saw these the pewter colouring drew me in, much like my last boots purchase of the winter just gone. Finishing the look with my H&M gold clutch, a bag I adore but severely challenges me and my Mary Poppins attitude when it comes to handbags, because I clearly need to take everything with me at all times just in case right? The chain necklace and amber ring are both new and the first jewellery purchases for a long time for me and my pretty boring minimalistic jewellery collection and the studded bracelet is an old favourite from Topshop, I must admit it’s seen better days but I can’t bear to part with it.
What do you guys think of pattern clashing like this? Too much or just enough?
FYI my blogging this week will not be as regular as usual as I’m away, I have some posts planned for you though and regular service will resume when I’m home. Have a good week guys!
