Cosmic Print Shirt – Forever 21 / Maroon Velvet Skirt – Primark / Star Studded Boots – Florence & Fred at Tesco / Cat Face Bag – George at Asda / Necklace – Boutique in Rome / Lipstick – Kate Moss for Rimmel in ‘Kiss of Life’

After an exciting week or so, it’s been back to reality with a bang this week and catching up on writing blog posts has been a huge priority for me. I have a pile of music to make my way through listening to for review purposes or possible features, it’s always a brilliant thing for me to have just so much to write about and makes finding ideas for this blog so very easy.

Onto this outfit though, I wore this to see McBusted last weekend and honestly I’m glad I did. It’s slightly more dressed up then my usual gig attire but for an arena show it still provided plenty of comfort, perfect for when we ended up in the standing zone right at the front. The top and skirt have been featured on the blog before but not together which is surprising because I wear them together quite a lot as a fail safe outfit option. The vivid greens and strong colours in the galaxy print of the shirt from Forever 21 work well with the rich maroon of the Primark velvet skirt. Boxy cut shirts and skater style skirts will always be one of my favourite combinations whether on the more dressy up side like this or a more casual take on it with a striped shirt and floral skirt.

The boots though heels are insanely comfortable and plenty of time on my feet resulted in complete lack of pain which is just the type of heels I can bear. The star studs are what initially drew me in to purchasing these otherwise quite plain boots and they have fast become one of my most worn pairs of boots in my shoe collection. The cat bag obviously was just to cute not to have it’s first outing and added a nice but of quirkiness to my outfit that I always strive for. Teaming the outfit with basic jewellery, minimal eye make up and a statement lip was perfect to take me from mid afternoon when I met my friends and had a pre-show meal to the show itself. Plus, I really think this Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick in ‘Kiss of Life’ could be the most perfect red I’ve ever found and with a long lasting formula it really is just quite perfect.

What’s your usual arena show gig attire? Is it more dressed up than normal like mine or not?
