Recently I went on a bit of a Clinque shopping spree after years of wanting to try their skincare I finally gave in and went and bought some. There will be a full review of all the products on here soon but until then I thought I would review the make up purchase I made from them. I bought this as a bit of an impulse purchase as I love lipsticks, I’d read really good reviews of these products and I really wanted a free gift so I needed to buy a second item and this was it and I’m very glad I did.

As I said earlier I’ve read nothing but good reviews about these chubby sticks from Clinque online so I thought why not buy one of these as a little bit of a treat to myself. As I bought it instore, the very helpful sales woman let me try it out first which was great to see whether the colour would probably suit me but also another reason for me to love this brand as Clinque’s staff are literally so helpful and knowledgeable about their products. She applied it for me and I loved the colour and the finish straight away, it felt good on and that is always a plus point for me so it justified the purchase even more to me. I bought the ‘Graceful Grape’ shade and it really is one of those shades that I think would look good on anyone as it’s just so easy to wear.
I got this in the intense finish as I like my lipsticks to pack a bit more of a punch and draw attention to my lips as they are one part of my body and face I quite like. I wore the shade for the rest of the day and I loved it even more, the colour looked amazing, the product stayed on even though I’d eaten and drank and I didn’t have to reapply at all. I could tell as well that it was a good product for my lips in terms of looking after them. I’ve found a lot of good lipsticks in the past but after a while I could tell they were drying my lips out whereas with this I could feel it nourishing my lips and making them feel softer and not drying them out therefore making my lipstick stay looking very good.
There are so many good points to this Chubby Stick that it has quite rightly justified the hype from beauty bloggers and journalists for me. The price may be £17 and admittedly that is quite expensive but when the product is this good you know that it’s going to last a long time and you are definitely getting your money’s worth with this product. After this I’m fully converted to Clinque products as they really are as brilliant as everyone says they are, their make up for me may still be in the occasional treat territory but when I have the money to treat myself to something new beauty wise I know I will be heading straight to the Clinque counter.
