Holiday Fashion Moodboard

Holiday Moodboard 2014

I may already have done all my holiday shopping but it never hurts to put together a moodboard of styles to covet when on holiday. This time round as I’m going to be on the sunny island of Corfu, I’ve gone for more laid back, slouchy styles which will be a nice change from the city breaks I usually go on. Crop tops, shorts, kimonos, bikinis, sandals and minimal accessories are what I’m all about for this holiday and though I may not be taking these exact pieces I will be taking inspiration from this as to what I will be packing in my suitcase.

As you may have noticed florals and tropical prints are the main theme here because a) I love them and b) what beach holiday would be complete without some tropical prints?! I love these two bikinis and had I not already bought a new one to add to my collection I would have bought these two. The kimono on the top row is very reminiscent of the one I bought from New Look recently and will be the perfect item for round the pool in the daytime, a light jacket for walking around exploring or as a nice throw on piece over a dress for night time wear. Sandals as well are a main feature because if there is one thing I hate it is hot feet so sandals will be a must at all times of day.

I may hate showing off my stomach but my current love for crop tops and high-waisted shorts shows no sign of ending anytime soon and I don’t think that will change when it comes to my holiday either. Pretty effortless to pull off wearing denim shorts and a vest for day and printed or textured shorts with a sheer shirt at night. Sunglasses-wise I’m pretty restricted to prescription only [oh how I wish I could buy the cheap cool sunglasses in Primark] but I’ve recently bought a new pair which look a lot like the top pair. In my ideal world though I want some mirror sunglasses, hey prescription sunglasses companies, I want some mirror sunglasses please!

Accessories wise it will be simple, basic jewellery such as long necklaces [seriously love the crystal one above] and cute rings, a backpack for the day and small but practical clutch or cross over bag for night. Oh and flower crowns because a girl can never have too many florals.
