After landing home from Corfu just over a week ago, I have well and truly been thrown into Autumn and my still slightly all over the place state [which has been topped off with a cold, joy!] is finding it difficult to transition. Although, I love Autumn fashion I just can’t seem to piece any good yet warm outfits together in my head so as a way to remedy that I succumbed to Pinterest. It’s been my inspiration when I’ve been in a fashion rut or dilemma before and yet again it has helped me no end.
Follow Charlotte’s board A/W 2014 Fashion Inspiration on Pinterest.
Above is the board I have started to create which features some of the images shown on this post, that have been inspiring and helping me out a bit. At the moment, I’m all about tailoring and manish shapes and as I’ve managed to get two keys items [white shirt and loafers] already since returning from holiday I think I’m starting to get on the right track. Oversized fedora hats, white shirts, tailored trousers of all patterns and colours, oversized blazers, sleeveless waistcoats and coats along with chunky jumpers over shirts and boots, brogues and loafers galore are exactly what I’m after right now and want to be wearing.
If you are stuck in a bit of a fashion rut, as well as visiting blogs and Instagram, get pinning! I know I’m quite late to the bandwagon but seriously if you’ve never used it before for fashion inspo it is the best place to look and create great boards tailored to your style and what you are loving/wanting right now.
What pieces and styles are you coveting this A/W?
