new music: Walking On Cars – Always Be With You

Irish five piece Walking On Cars create indie rock music mixed with pop afflictions to create songs with a great hook, storytelling lyrics and some wonderful rhythms. The five school friends started out in a band together back in 2010 and since then they have been writing songs, recording demos and touring the UK. All that paid off when in 2012 they won the Red Bull Bedroom Jam gaining them radio play and a number 27 placing track in ‘Catch Me If You Can’.

This year has seen the band release their ‘Hand In Hand’ EP as well as the above single and latest release ‘Always Be With You’. It’s a slow start with a piano line and constant beats before vocals with a soulful tone and a rock edge tell the story of a love with plenty of emotional riddled throughout the voice. The choruses are bigger but still subdued giving way to the emotion and the story making them the main focus of this one. This is a great song and for track released so early in a band’s career it shows plenty of talent and lots of promise of even more amazing and accomplished things to come.
