new music: High Hazels

Today, I bring you another new music piece featuring a brilliant new Sheffield band. These guys are called High Hazels and have been together since 2013. In that time they have released a self titled debut album back in October last year. It is an album that has gained good reviews and has seen the band supporting it with a multitude of dates all over the country. They are by far one of the most exciting acts in Sheffield right now.

The above track is called ‘Misbehave’ and is one of the tracks taken from the album. It kicks straight in with a strong bass line and great vocals that have an echoey feel to them filling the track completely. A perfect rhythm is created from the steady drums and the guitar has a retro tinge to it that sees its hazy vibe reverberating around the whole track. It is such a wonderful modern day indie anthem and one that will have you hitting repeat for sure.

After a great 2014 surely things can only get bigger and better for the Steel City four piece. Though nothing has been announced so far it is only early in the year and there is plenty of time for new releases and tour dates to arrive. They are without doubt one of the bands to keep your eyes on over the course of this 12 months.
