Shirt – Primark / Skirt – Primark / Boots – New Look / Bag – Marc B / Hat – Topshop / Necklace – H&M / Watch – Casio
Another outfit that was featured in my Valentine’s City Guide post but again I thought it was a waste to only use one photo from the many I shot so here are the rest of them for you all to have a look at.
This outfit is one of my go to outfits that I have in my wardrobe, if I’m going out somewhere nice but I don’t need to be overly dressed up and I don’t know what to wear then I will usually grab this. The mix of black and red is a classic but the polka dots on the shirt and richer wine shade of red makes this slightly more interesting than your typical plain black and statement red combo. The velvet skirt was from Primark and surprisingly has lasted a long time from there and is one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe. I don’t usually buy clothes from Primark anymore just accessories and shoes but this really is very good quality.
I’ve gone for no tights in this outfit but obviously for the cold we are having now I’d throw on a pair of black, grey or navy tights, all of which would work well with these basic shades. The boots are featured again, I’m sorry but honestly I love them so much I would honestly wear them every day if I could and they are comfy enough to do that too. A maroon hat along with the burgandy boots and the wine skirt all play nice on the rich, deep end of the reds spectrum which is something I love taking one colour and playing about with different shades of it. The bag is one I’ve had for a long time, it is a Marc B bag from TK Maxx and is that perfect not too big but not too small size that is great for the daytime without resorting to carrying a huge rucksack of a bag.
What is your safe outfit/colour combination?
