Tame Impala – Let It Happen
How could I not feature the latest Tame Impala track? I love this band a lot and have played both their albums to date to death so to have some new music from these Aussie psychadelics is awesome. The track doesn’t let you down either still having that trippy edge to it the band just manage to capture so well. With dance elements, great rhythms, rock fuelled moments and their trademark wispy vocal sound it really is Tame Impala at their best but with a clear progression and growth in their sound for this their latest musical chapter.
Travis – Writing To Reach You
So recently I’ve heard a hell of a lot about this band again, just people mentioning them and them being played on the radio again and it reminded me of how much I loved this band. Travis released ‘The Man Who’ in 1999, which this song is taken from, and back then I was only 8 but I loved them. I used to listen to their album a lot and the next two albums were also ones I was obsessed with. After then the band went a bit quiet though they have released stuff since so I myself will have to check that out and see if it is as good as the stuff I fell in love with. Anyway, I’ve chosen this track because it is one of my absolute favourites of their’s and if you’ve not heard it then hopefully you will love it as much as I do too.
