Today, I bring you some new music from indie rock quintet Salt. Based in Buckinghamshire, the five piece formed in late 2014 and straight away managed to write a full album’s worth of material and have slowly been recording those tracks around booking and playing as many shows as possible, getting their name out their on the local gigging circuit. So far, so good and plenty achieved for the band over such a short space of time surely showing good signs for the future.

You can check out ‘Mona’ by the band below:

This track is a great example of the modern indie rock mixing with old school indie meets post punk sounds from the fuzzy guitars, the deep bass lines, the general tinge of sadness running throughout the music and vocals and a voice which is layered with emotion and told through a raw edge to the lilt. It is a really great and accomplished track with good storytelling lyrics and wonderful music from uncomplicated chords carrying us through verses to the rock afflicatons that greet us in the bigger choruses.

With a couple of gigs coming up over the next couple of months down in the South of England as well as them building on their fan base and recording more tracks, it should be a busy year for the band.
