Top – Zara / Dungarees – Urban Bliss via eBay / Desert Boots – Primark / Hat – H&M / Watch – Casio
First of all sorry for the not great photos, I’ve been super busy for the past few weeks and only had around 5 minutes to shot these which explains why they are not the best photos. Anyway, onto the outfit and this is one that I am super happy with mainly because I finally have a decent pair of dungarees, the first I’ve had since I was a child.
I’ve spent years looking for a really good pair of dungarees and after a few failed purchases I nearly gave up until I saw these beauties on eBay. They are very similar to a pair I saw on New Look’s website but were £5 cheaper so I decided to risk it and I’m glad I did because these are real quality and absolutely perfect. They fit really well, I love the denim and I know that they are something I will get a lot of wear out of over the course of the next few years at least.
Harking back to my childhood, I teamed my dungarees with a floral shirt which is exactly how 6 year old me would dress. The difference between then and now though is then I would have teamed it with a Spice Girls cap and pumps where as now I’ve paired the outfit with a nice pork pie style hat and some desert boots from Primark, another new purchase that has ended up saving me nearly £30 as all other desert boots I’ve seen have been nearly £40 or more.
So there we have it, I may be getting older but I still find inspiration to dress like my childhood self. I’m pretty sure it is the proven best way to keep yourself young or maybe not but whatever.
