Friendly Fires – Jump In The Pool
It has been a while since my favourite band were featured on my tracks of the week but they are back with a great early single in the form of ‘Jump In The Pool’. As it is very nearly summer, these guys are always the perfect addition to a playlist around this time of the year and this track in particular always reminds me of summer. I don’t really have anything else to say about this track except that I love it and Friendly Fires and I urge you to listen to this as it will put you in the best mood for your imminent weekend.
Pulp – Do You Remember The First Time?
After the 6Music celebrations of Sheffield a couple of weeks ago, it has reignited my already quite huge passion for music from my fair city. One of those bands is Pulp who we all know are one of the most iconic acts to come from the Steel City. I picked this particular track as it is one of my favourites, a great single that I sometimes think doesn’t get the recognition it truly deserves.
