The track is an upbeat number from the off with catchy melodies from the guitar and quick rhythms from the drums. When the vocals come in for the first verse things are slowed down slightly giving the wonderful tones and harmonies take centre stage weaving their way through the music. As soon as we hit the chorus things pick up again giving that infectious edge which will see you dancing along to the fast tempo and intricacies of the notes. A really excellent single.
Having the music bug from a young age Thom started busking on the streets of Belfast aged 16 and was later joined by sister Lucy, it was from that moment that the pair set out to make their mark in their city. Since then the band have been championed on BBC Radio Ulster as “the most promising singer/songwriters in Ireland today.”, have been featured on The Guardian’s Band of the Day feature, have signed to Marathon Records and have supported everyone from the likes of Bastille to Jake Bugg.
Not bad for a band yet to release a full length album, their singles and EP’s to date have clearly done them proud earning them plaudits along the way from so many. The band recently released single ‘Lone Driver’, which you can check out below, so hopefully this will be the beginning of seeing an album from them which I’m sure would be a great listen. Make sure you check out these guys for some really great indie tracks with a country and rock edge.
