I’m not sure how all the weeks are going so fast at the moment but they really are. However, it was another great end to the previous week/beginning to this week with a lovely trip to Bridlington. For my boyfriend’s birthday, I decided to take him away for the night for a surprise trip and so I chose the northern seaside town of Bridlington. Last year, we went there on one of our early dates so it was lovely to go back again, a year later as a couple and to celebrate his birthday.
We had a lovely time, walking and taking in the sea and calmness that comes with watching the waves. There was plenty of eating and exploring and having fun. It was only for a day and a night that we were there but it was a brilliant and lovely time from beginning to end. After two lovely and to a point important trips to this town, I think it is safe to say that we will be back again some time in the future.
The rest of this week has been a mix of hard work, getting organised and starting a new chapter. This blog is something I want to work on more and get it up to the standard I like but it is taking me so much longer than I wanted due to other commitments and life in general at the moment. This year is also a year I want to make things better and be more of myself than I have been in a long while so this week I made a start on building the wardrobe I really want and love so I’ll inevitably be having another clearout to stick things on ebay. But I think if you want to make changes you just have to do it and as I want everything to be better and more like I want them to be even more frivolous things like updating the clothes I wear is something I want to do and am making the effort to do. Here’s to more changes and progress in 2015.

What I’ve Been Reading:
– This great article on The Pool’s website on how to do less but acheive more. Something I would definitely like to try for myself to see if it makes juggling so much any easier for me. – A great idea for a digital detox each week, something I think I may try as I feel I do rely too much on technology to occupy my time instead of doing something else.
– A great and insightful article by Sali Hughes in The Pool all about the devestating effects getting rid of husing benefits for under 21’s will have on young people in society.
