The track is a great indie masterpiece with catchy rhythms, great intertwining melodies and the calming vocal harmonies running throughout setting the pace of the track perfectly. Where verses are soft and flowing, the choruses follow only picking up pace and volume slightly through gang style backing vocals which add a fullness to the sound. The track builds into a beautifully wonderful one full of pleasant notes and sing along lyrics. It is a great and impressive first peek into the sound on the new album.
The follow up album from him will be released at the beginning of 2016 and is available for pre-order already via Pledge Music. There you will find a load of unusual bonuses to go along with your album including creating a Signature Jake Morley BrewBeer, a chance to walk Jake’s dog, guitar lessons from the man himself and original artwork of his first album ‘Many Fish To Fry’.
All interesting things to go along with the album from the man who has been described by Indie London as; “a natural talent for blending Ben Howard–esque virtuso acoustic picking and a line in sway-along balladry with Bear’s Den’s rich instrumental component.”
Not only is there a new single but Morley will be heading out on tour this October starting out at Castle in Manchester on 4th, taking in York, Cardiff, Brighton and more before finishing up in Ipswich on 23rd at St Peter’s. For local readers of my blog, he’ll also be playing a set at Sheffield’s Rocking Chair on his tour which is one not to be missed. He’ll be there on 7th October from 7:30pm, you can get tickets for the Sheffield date as well as the others at his website now.
