The Maccabees – Spit It Out
I’m pretty sure I don’t need to tell long time readers of my blog about my love for The Maccabees but for those unaware, I absolutely adore this band. They are in a word: brilliant. The above track is the latest track released from their fourth album and it is another great one from the guys who’s album is nothing short of excellent. As a band their growth in sound comes along with a maturity in their music as a whole and it makes for a wonderful listen of tracks you just know are going to stand the test of time.
Drenge – The Woods
Another recently released single from one of my favourite bands featured above. Drenge fast became one of my favourites last year after and impressive arrival onto the music scene and my love for them has not subsided for them at all. The new single from the Derbyshire lads is my favourite track on the album and therefore I just had to share it with you. The lethargic vocal, the sludgy riffs and the grungy attitude just make these guys an intriguing listen whilst also just being bloody brilliant.
