Sheffield’s finest Inherit The Stars released their new single ‘Fortune Favours The Brave’ earlier this week and after a great reaction online, there was more love and appreciation to come for the band and their new track at the launch show for this new track at The Rocking Chair on Friday 29th January.
The alt-rock band have started the year perfectly with this new track which mixes catchy dance and dubstep elements with their great brand of melodic guitars, great vocals and that rock edge prominent throughout.
With influences coming from the likes of Fightstar and Enter Shikari, the guys have combined the heavy riffs and hardcore sound with the computerisation and electronics perfectly.
Inherit the Stars vocalist, Daniel Jeffery had this to say about the new single; “Fortune Favours the Brave is about doing whatever is necessary to get you to where you want to be in life, and fighting back against those who try to stop you… This single marks the next chapter and step for our band. It’s our most accomplished music so far. It feels like we have really upped a gear and this is just a taster of what is to come from Inherit the Stars.”
The reaction to the track has been brilliant online and with a huge crowd confirmed for the single launch show it was sure to be a great night for everyone and it certainly was. The small underground room at The Rocking Chair was packed to the rafters for the band’s headline set which was short but sweet and full of some of their best to date.
The love in the room for the band created a wonderful atmosphere of camaradarie and only added to the party atmosphere that was in full swing. The energy from the band, the brilliant tracks full of melody, rock riffs and huge moments and the wonderful hometown crowd made for a spectacular show and a great night for all involved.
The track is available to buy and listen to now on all the usual platforms, including the guy’s Bandcamp page, and the release comes with bonus acoustic track ‘Sleep Tight’.
