Today, I’m bringing you some new music from alternative Italian five piece OVER with their cover of ‘The Kill’ by 30 Seconds To Mars which they have recently released. Check out the video below to see their take on the great single.
The track is a brilliant and very different take on the rock band classic that 30 Seconds To Mars originally produced. The slowed down beats, soft harmonious vocals and echoey notes that reverberate so well around this sparse sounding track throughout the opening. It’s a great build up to the chorus, much like in the original, which crashes in with drama full of huge, soaring vocals, pounding drum beats and guitar lines that dance around the edges of the track so well. This is a great cover and a very strong showcase of the band’s talents musically.
OVER are one of the most promising alternative bands from Italy, they have toured Italy and the UK several times over the years and they have spent the end of May touring with Canadian act Courage My Love in the UK. The tour will continue throughout the beginning of June continuing their support slot on the tour throughout Europe, starting in Milan on 30th May and finishing up in Paris on 4th June at Gibus Live.
