Today, I’m bringing you some new music from French pop-punk quintet Summer Lake Heroes. They have recently released the lyric video for their new single ‘Harvey Dent’ and you can check out the video below.
The single builds through a steady drum beat and jumpy guitar strums creating a defiant and somewhat suspenseful atmosphere. Strong dual vocals leads us through the track from the first chords to the moment when it all crashes in with pounding drums, a quick and sharp guitar riff and cymbals clattering around it all. The pop punk feel of the track comes from the uptempo delivery on the music and gives way to catchy melodies that will see you swaying your hips along to. A very good single delivered with confidence and style.
With influences ranging from We Are The In Crowd and Tonight Alive, this five piece are bringing a much needed breath of fresh air to the French pop-punk scene with their brilliant music. Forming in Paris in 2015, the band quickly released their debut EP ‘Beers & Fucked Up Friends’ to plenty of good words before hitting the road, gaining live experience and fans, while supporting the likes of Courage My Love and Eskemo.
Currently the band are gearing up for more shows in support of the deluxe edition of their debut EP, which was released on June 3rd.
