Blog update: It’s been a while…

So let’s catch up! Although I spend every day writing, I’ve not written anything for this blog in a long, long time. I’m not going to lie, a lot of the time I don’t even think about writing on here because I’m just too busy but then there are other days when I feel sad that I’ve let this little corner of the interest fall out of my mind.

Recently, I’ve been missing writing a lot more so I thought it was about time I dusted off the laptop and got typing. I’ve had quite a few ideas and I’ve got some big plans for this blog and this site which I’m hoping to work on over the next few months. Once I get the content and ideas sorted, written and out of my head, I just need to redesign the site which may well be the easier part of the job because I know exactly how I want it to look. I need to make a serious effort over the next few months to get this site up and running again, not just updating the blog regularly but also getting my ideas out into the world.

Anyway, although work takes up the majority of my time, I’ve also been plugging away to try and make this little house a lovely home. I’m so proud of our efforts so far and although there is still a lot to do, I’m proud with how far we have come.

We are 90% done in the living room, we just need to wallpaper and add the finishing touches and then the focus is on the bedroom, clearing out the cellar and getting more done in the garden before winter. We’ve not done much to the front garden, just tidied it up, added a small fence, put in some more gravel and planted the plants in the pots. The back garden is a bigger job which need some landscaping doing to it so the cost, time and effort needed there is going to be huge!

Aside from house stuff, we’ve been busy with birthday’s, weddings, a gin festival, seeing maximo park, barbeques etc. Unfortunately, we’ve not managed a holiday so far this year but hopefully we can fit one in sometime around September or October, just a UK break but I think we both need a rest and to get away for a few days.

We’ve been in this house over 6 months now and there is no excuse to get things back to some sort of normality, I’ve let a lot of things slide since moving house from this blog to regular exercise and a host of things in between but I feel a lot more motivated now to really acheive what I want to acheive and get everything back on track.

So hopefully you’ll be seeing a lot of changes on this site over the next few months! I’m looking forward to getting started!
