Today, I’m bringing you some new music from London based singer/songwriter Sam Way. Already been featured as one to watch by Rollercoaster Magazine, this guy is gearing up for the release of his new EP ‘Architect’ on 2nd November and he has recently released a single taken from it entitled ‘Stargazer’ and you can check out the video for it below:

The track is a stunning one from the off with hushed vocals laced with emotion sitting on top of muffled, tinkling keys. The sparseness of this just makes it truly beautiful in its execution and when atmospherics are added and the intensity of the track picks up it just makes it all the more wonderful to listen to. Violins add their great high pitched beauty to this on occasions, again making for a stunning song.

After starting out as a TV model for brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Diesel, Way went for a change of career and opted for his passion, music. It’s paid off for him as well with some great tracks that he has produced already built around his past in piano playing since the age of 16 and then being introduced to the guitar by his dad and never looking back.

This new EP is the product of years of travelling, songwriting and collaborating with everyone from The Voice finalist Matt Henry to the London Contemporary Voices Choir. After a great and successful appearance at Somersault Festival in 2014 and a tour of the South West of England that followed, he was soon snatched up for interviews on local BBC radio as well as embarking on a recent UK tour with Anna Pancaldi.

With so much happening and so much praise under his belt, good things are definitely happening for this guy starting out his music career. Make sure you look out for this guy over the next few months because his new tracks are something to be checked out.
