The track is a huge and chaotic monster from the off with pounding drum beats, chugging fast tempo guitars and a throaty bass line creating the basis for this one. Vocally we have harmonies telling stories full of emotion and personal struggles dancing wonderfully around the notes that hold this all together. With great breakdowns, choruses delivered with deference and urgency and those great storytelling lyrics, it’s clear to see that this is a new chapter for the band and their progression is obvious and brilliant.
Taken from their new album, ‘Faith or Theory’, the band went down a path of assessing their own relationships and trying to find their place in the world in order to create this album. The new album also comes with a small line up change and the tracks are in essence short stories showcasing great emotion from each member of the band. Completely fulfilling the band’s ethos that their music is an experience to be shared, that’s honest no matter how hard the truth may be.
The album is the first after their successful 2013 record ‘These Hands and This Mind’ which saw them share stages with everyone from Marmozets to Neck Deep, Mallory Knox to Feed The Rhino as well as being featured on Kerrang! and Scuzz.
With this great new track and a new album on the way, it’s pretty certain to assume that these guys will be picking up where they left off career wise and gaining more traction and support from all corners. Make sure to keep an eye on what is to come over the next few months!
