Grammy’s and BAFTA’s fashion round-up.

As much as award ceremonies are interesting to watch for who wins etc, we all know that one of the main reasons for watching it is the fashion. Like everyone else I spend my time online the next day looking at pictures of who is wearing what so I thought I’d put together my favourite outfits from both the Grammy’s and the BAFTA’s.

First up, The Grammy’s:

1. Adele in Valentino.
2. Florence in Givenchy.
3. Beyonce in monochrome Osman jumpsuit.
4. Solange in Ralph and Russo.

The main difference between the two events was colour schemes, there was a hell of a lot more colour going on in America than over in London. Adele in my opinion always looks amazing, she usually opts for black but this dress is just beautiful [it is Valentino though so it’s to be expected] and it suits her so well. Florence is probably the only woman in the world that could pull that green dress off and look that good, I envy her fashion sense so much. I love Beyonce’s jumpsuit, it’s smart but fashionable and Solange looks amazing in a turquoise dress and coral shoes that is a fashion statement right there and I love it.

BAFTA’s:

1. Anne Hathaway in Burberry.
2. Sarah Jessica Parker in Elie Saab jumpsuit.
3. Thandi Newton in Louis Vuitton.
4. Saoirse Ronan in Christopher Kane.

There is a lot of black going on here but black pretty much always look good on everyone, a safe but good choice. Anne Hathaway looked amazing in her Burberry dress and she really does suit the shorter hair too. Sarah Jessica Parker was also in a jumpsuit and I really loved it, I hate jumpsuits usually but both SJP and Beyonce made me want to invest in one last night, shame I don’t have the funds to buy ones like their’s. I really quite liked Thandi Newton’s lace dress and Saorise Ronan completely caught my attention in this stunning Christopher Kane dress. Like I said a lot of black but it all looks amazing.

Dame Helen Mirren in Nicholas Oakwell Couture.

Someone who didn’t wear black was Dame Helen Mirren who did not only look amazing in that lovely dress but her hair! It’s been the massive talking point of the BAFTA’s and I personally love it, I think she pulls it off so well. When I’m Helen Mirren’s age not only do I want to look as amazing as her but I’m having pink hair too, I just hope I pull it off as well as she does.
