LFW A/W 13/14 so far.

It’s about halfway through LFW and I thought I’d give a little round of the collections and outfits that I really liked that have been shown so far, avoiding a massive post at the end of the week as much as anything else. So here is my favourites so far:

House of Holland

The House of Holland collections seem to have been maturing more and more in the past couple of years and even though I loved the collections before I love these even more. There is still a lot of pattern but it’s more grown up and the skirt in the top picture in particular is very 60’s inspired carrying on from the trend this S/S. I particularly love the suit and the skirt in the bottom picture.
Vivienne Westwood Red Label

Before I say anything else, the dress in the third picture I love so so much and I would be the happiest girl in the world if I owned that. This is a really brilliant collection from Vivienne Westwood, there is a lot about it that I love. The colour palettes, the textures and patterns. The sequin jumper, the purple and yellow checked skirt and the blue oversized coat are all key pieces that make a massive statement summing up fully what we all know and love about Westwood’s attitude to fashion.

Holly Fulton

This was my favourite collection of them all so far, I loved every single piece and outfit in the collection. The patterns are completely amazing and the colours work so well together. The patterned suit with the patterned shirt looks really good together and proof that sometimes you can get away with a lot of pattern in an outfit. I actually have a vintage shirtdress like the shirt in the third photo which is pretty cool for my wardrobe and I love the skirt that is paired with it. Absolutely brilliant collection!

Felder Felder

The print on the dress in the top picture is one of the most interesting yet simple prints I’ve seen in a long time, it’s brilliant. A simple colour palette of black, maroon and nudes here but it all works really well.

PPQ

Very 60’s influenced so yet another indicator that the S/S 60’s trend will be carrying on into the Autumn. If I owned those two coats I would be set for life, they are both such statement pieces and I love them so much with the bright colours and black collars, buttons and pockets set against it. The bright, colourful, psychadelic patterned trousers in the last picture are also such a statement piece that just look amazing.

Ones to Watch – Yeashin

Looking through the Ones to Watch shows and Yeashin was my favourite collection by far. I love the slightly fairytale-esque costumes, the colours and different textures from knits to sheer sleeves and skirts. With collections like this being put on show I really do agree that she will be one to watch in the future for some brilliantly inspired collections.
